Oktoberfest and where to celebrate it in Singapore!

Hello everybody! It is the month of October and with that Oktoberfest looms over us. For those who do not know what Oktoberfest is, it is the world’s largest funfair that is held in Munich, Germany. The festival was first celebrated when Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen on October 12, 1810. With its culture and festivities, it is no wonder that the Bavarian event is being celebrated all around the globe yearly. Singapore is no exception.

With the backstory out of the way, we can finally talk about the places you can go to for a good Oktoberfest experience right here in Singapore.

1. Oktoberfest Asia 2014
The closest thing you will get to the real fair in Munich. After a successful run last year, Oktoberfest Asia is back to provide Singapore with the atmosphere and experience I can expect from the Oktoberfest in Munich. With its array of authentic Bavarian beers and delicacies, a true blue Munchen band coupled with the decorations, it is like celebrating the original Oktoberfest right here in Singapore.

Oktoberfest Asia is happening 9-10 Oct from 5pm and 11 Oct 2014 from 3pm, at Marina at Keppel Bay, 2 Keppel Bay Vista, Singapore 098382. For more information and tickets, visit their website at http://www.oktoberfestasia.com/
