NookPass: A Smarter Event Companion App for Attendees and Organisers

If you’ve organised an event before, you’ll know this feeling.

Registration is ready. Speakers are confirmed. Sponsors are onboard. The event website is live.

Then the requests begin.

“Can attendees view the agenda on their phones?”
“Can we upload speaker profiles?”
“How can attendees find exhibitors more easily?”
“Can we send live event updates?”

None of these requests are unreasonable.

Together, they become another project.

At EventNook, we’ve spent years helping organisers simplify event registration, ticketing, and check-in. Along the way, we kept hearing one question:

“Is there an easier way to give attendees everything they need before, during, and after an event?”

That question became NookPass.

NookPass is EventNook’s event companion app, bringing together agendas, speaker profiles, exhibitor information, interactive floor plans, digital badges, networking, and post-event content into one seamless experience for both organisers and attendees.

We Started By Listening

NookPass was not created because we wanted to build another event app.

It was built because organisers kept asking us to solve real operational problems.

Our team has spent years working alongside event organisers and seeing how event apps are actually used on the ground and what organisers are missing in their event registration journey.

That shaped how we built NookPass.

Instead of asking, “What else can we add?”

We asked, “What actually helps someone running an event?

AI Changed What Was Possible

A few years ago, building an event app often became a project of its own.

Agendas had to be formatted. Speaker profiles created manually. Exhibitor lists cleaned up. Floor plans recreated.

Today, AI changes that.

For us, AI isn’t the product. It’s the accelerator.

NookPass uses AI to remove repetitive setup work, turning what was once a separate project into a natural extension of the event registration workflow.

That means organisers spend less time formatting content and more time creating better event experiences.

One Companion App For The Event Journey

NookPass is designed to support attendees and event organisers throughout the event journey.

Built For Attendees

For attendees, NookPass is intentionally simple.

What you can expect:

  • Browse the event agenda
  • View speaker profiles
  • Explore sponsor and exhibitor information
  • Receive announcements
  • Access photo and video galleries, and use their digital badge from one place.
  • Network with different people and save their contact

One feature we are especially excited about is the interactive exhibition floor plan.

At larger exhibitions, attendees often spend time scanning a static map, matching booth numbers, and trying to figure out where a company is located.

With NookPass, organisers can link booths directly to exhibitor profiles. An attendee can tap a booth on the floor plan and immediately see who is there, what they do, and whether they want to visit.

It is a small interaction, but it solves a very real event-day problem.

Built For Event Organisers

While attendees get a clean experience, organisers have a different challenge.

Creating an event app should not become another full-time project.

That is why we focused heavily on reducing setup time.

How it Helps Event OrganisersNookPass
Add content faster– Organisers can use Smart Paste to add event information from documents, emails, or spreadsheets.
Start with AI when needed– AI can help create an initial event agenda based on simple instructions (but, the more context the better).
Build interactive floor plans– For exhibitions, organisers can create interactive floor plans by uploading an existing floor plan (.jpg) or building one directly in NookPass.
– Booths can then be linked to exhibitor profiles, so attendees can tap on a booth and immediately understand who is there and what they offer.
Customise the experience– Customise with templates, team collaboration, speaker layouts, custom fields, scheduled announcements, and custom pages for additional event experiences.

The goal is not to take control away from organisers.

It is to remove the repetitive work that slows them down.

Part Of A Bigger Event Experience

Registration, ticketing, and check-in remain at the heart of EventNook. NookPass continues the attendee journey after registration is complete.

For organisers who want to create a richer experience, NookPass can also connect with other EventNook products like NookPhoto for AI-powered photo experiences and Event Digital Passport for interactive engagement activities.

Together, these tools help organisers move beyond event access and into event experience.

Built To Be Useful

NookPass is still growing.

But the principle behind it is clear.

Good event technology is built upon the backbone of real customer feedback (both for users & organisers) and real events.

It should also quietly remove complexity so organisers can focus on creating meaningful event experiences.

That is how we are building NookPass: by listening to organisers, understanding real event challenges, and turning practical requests into useful tools.
